Ronald Woodard, 78, of Webster City, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, on Monday, May 1, 2023.  Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Calvary Baptist Church, in Webster City from 12:00 – 1:15 PM, with the funeral service at 1:30 PM.  Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, followed by lunch at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com).

 

Ron was born on December 27, 1944, in Webster City, Iowa to Gladys and Lloyd Woodard.  He graduated from high school in 1963.  He started working for Fareway in 1961 while he was still in high school and continued working for them for 50 years until his retirement in 2011.

 

In 1970, Ron was united in marriage to Carolee Clauson, in Forest City, Iowa.  He was saved, accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age.  He enjoyed reading the Bible and had gained a lot of knowledge and Bible facts.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, and Sunday School teacher for both adults and Junior High youth.  Ron enjoyed watching TV with his little white Dog on his lap.

 

Ron’s family includes his wife, Carolee; two daughters:  Sarah Kirkland and Jana Woodard; three grandchildren:  Tanner, Brandon and Ashlyn.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Keith Woodard; and sister Kay Bergeson.
