Robert "Bob" Brown

On Saturday August 13, 2022, Robert “Bob” Brown, 85 of Webster City, IA, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for eternity. A celebration of Life will be held at 5:30 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at MAC Life Church in Blairsburg, IA. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Bob was born on October 26, 1936, to Morris and Frances Brown on a farm south of Webster City. He attended rural schools through the 8th grade, then on to Junior and Senior High, graduating in 1955, where he had chosen agriculture as a career. Bob farmed until 1961, and then worked a few years at the Coop Elevator, he went onto a lifetime career with Farmland Industries until his retirement in 1998. He also had a mowing business, worked as a realtor, worked at Custom Meats and Kwik Star.

Bob was married to Jill Hoover in 1962 and to this union Melinda (Mindy) and Mike were born. Jill passed away in 1996. In 1998 Bob married Patty Flugstad.

Bob’s family includes his children: Mindy (and her fur babies) Brandner of Denver, CO, and Mike (Danielle) Brown of Minneapolis, MN; Joy (Aaron) Fopma of Jewell, IA, Lori (Todd) Hartnett of Webster City, IA and Joshua (Jamie) Flugstad of Webster City; grandchildren: Logan (Iva) Foose and their children Ian & Deliah, Collin (Emily) Foose and their son William, Nick Jaber, Brittany Fopma, Trey Foose, Jordan (Michaela) Hartnett and their son Daxton, Carson (Madi) Hartnett, and Kali Hartnett; sister Ruth Verbrugge; niece Marsha (Robbie) Gumness; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife Jill and wife Patty; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
