Rebecca Cole

Rebecca Lee Cole, 75, of Jewell, Iowa, passed away peacefully at her home on October 16, 2024. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to assist with their needs, and no services are planned at this time.

 Born on February 3, 1949, in Ames, Iowa, Rebecca was the daughter of Darrell and Helen (Ellsworth) Link. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1967 and married Clyde Cole on June 10, 1967, in Cambridge, MN. After raising her children, Rebecca pursued a career in nursing, working at Story City Hospital and Mary Greeley Medical Center until an injury prevented her from continuing her profession.

 A member of the Farmers Union, Rebecca actively worked to combat large hog confinements in her community. She was known for her passion for cooking and her unwavering dedication to caring for her family, which was her greatest joy. Rebecca had a positive outlook on life and cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, especially during trips to Minnesota with her grandchildren.

 Rebecca is survived by her beloved husband, Clyde; son Shawn of Nevada, Iowa; daughter Jennifer (Scott) Heithoff of Roland, Iowa; three grandchildren: Olivia, Tyler, and Stella; and three sisters: Robin, Beverly, and Kristine. She was preceded in death by her parents
