Milford Grant

Milford Winston Grant, 90, of Webster City, died on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Southfield Wellness Community, in Webster City.  Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 10:00 – 10:45 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.  The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Milford was born on October 19, 1932, to Harold and Rosa (Edwards) Grant.  He attended school in Williamsburg, Iowa.  After graduating high school, he was drafted into the Army, and served for two years at Fort Sill Oklahoma.  On February 2, 1957, Milford married Alice Ingebritson, in Dows, Iowa.  He worked as a custodian at the United State Postal Service in Webster City.

Milford was a true handyman, who taught himself how do anything he wanted to learn.  He enjoyed fixing things and helping his children with their homes.  Milford liked to go camping, especially at Briggs Woods.  His grandchildren were very important to him, and he attended all their activities.

Milford’s family includes his wife of 66 years; son Jeff (Jan) Grant of Houston, TX; daughters:  Kathy (Rodney) Buhr, of Marshalltown, IA and Darla (Craig) Ewing, of Webster City, IA; eight grandchildren; and two brothers:  Max and Jim.  He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.
