Michael D Griffith

Michael D Griffith, 65, of Webster City, died on Saturday October 24, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.  Graveside Services will be Friday, October 30, 2PM at Cass Center Cemtery, Webster City.  Boman Funeral Home is serving the family (www.Bomanfh.com).


Michael was born on August 16, 1950 in Belmond, Iowa to Jack and Doloris (Capsel) Griffith.  He attended the Webster City Schools, graduating in 1970.  Michael was drafted during the Vietnam conflict and served in Germany.  He returned home and married Peggy Kinnetz, they later divorced.  He was employed by an auto body shop in Eagle Grove, and then the paint department at Beams for over 30 years.


Michael enjoyed riding dirt bikes and his Harley.  He also enjoyed photography, kayaking, fishing and his dog Arty.


His family includes:  daughter Emily (Randy) Maines of Webster City;  son Travis of Des Moines; grandchildren Gavin and Lilian; brother Richard of Webster City; and sister Elaine Carlson of Eagle Grove.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
