Lonnie Graves, 80, of Webster City, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Southfield Wellness Community, in Webster City. Visitation will be at Asbury United Methodist Church on Friday, January 21, from 11:00 – 12:30 PM, followed by a service at 1:00 PM (Masks are required), Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.
Lonnie Graves, son of Dale and Ruby Graves was born in Logan, Iowa on August 19, 1941, at home. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1959. On October 11, 1959, he was married to Erma Bauer, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Webster City. He worked for Anderson Erickson Dairy for 32 years before retiring. He was a Moose member in Webster City for more than 50 years. He also called Bingo at the Moose Lodge until they closed.
Lonnie was a life-long Husker fan and he loved bowling, horseshoe, playing card games and dominoes, telling stories and jokes. And most important time spent with the little great-grandchildren, Cameron, James and McKenna.
He is survived by his Wife; daughter Londa (Randy) Clark of Webster City; sons: Rob (Ramona) Graves of Webster City, and Craig (Darla) Graves of West Des Moines; grandchildren: Jeff Payne and Amy Gardner, Robbyn Duchow and, Nik Graves, Sean, Zach, Justin and Alicia Graves; 3 great-grandchildren; and sister Connie Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Larry and Ronald; and great granddaughter Elizabeth Payne. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be left to the family’s discretion.
