Linette Vanatter, 61 of Webster City, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital, in Iowa City.  Visitation will be at Anchor Point Church in Webster City, on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10:00-10:45 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.  The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

 

Linette Kay was born on June 5, 1962, to Lyman and Marilyn (Galvin) Oberhelman, in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  She graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1981, and then attended Iowa Central Community College.  She married Tom Vanatter on September 10th, 1994, in Las Vegas, NV. 

 

Linette served as a cook for the Webster City Community Schools until she became a full-time care giver for her husband Tom.  She was a member of Anchor Point Church in Webster City, where she helped in the kitchen for many events, and attended Bible Studies.  Linette was an excellent cook and enjoyed feeding people, she also loved to shop, and have her hair and nails done.  Linette was good at everything she did, which included quilting and sewing.  Most of all she enjoyed the quality time she could spend with her grandchildren.

 

Linette’s family includes her husband of 29 years, Tom; father Lyman “Bill” Oberhelman; Three Children:  Carrie (Kent) Tilley of Stratford, Rose (Darren) Plain, of Webster City, and James (Jackie) Peterson, of Webster City; nine grandchildren; five siblings:  Debbie (Kurt) Liscum, Dave (Debbie) Burton, Larry (Marilyn) Oberhelman, Lyle (Jackie) Oberhelman, and Jim Oberhelman. She was preceded in death by her mother.
