Jennifer Schnell, 39, of Eagle Grove, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge, IA. Anyone who wishes to say their final good-byes may come to Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) on Sunday April 5th, from 12:00 – 6:00 PM. The private funeral service will be livestreamed on Facebook at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 6th, followed by a 2:00 PM public graveside service at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City, IA.
Jennifer was born on October 28, 1980 in Webster City, Iowa, to William Christian and Marcia Kay Marquardt Schnell.
She attended school at Elm Park Elementary in Webster City until third grade and then the Eagle Grove Schools. She graduated from LaJames College in Ft. Dodge with a degree in Massage Therapy in 2011. Jennifer was employed as Assistant Director at Eagle’s Wings Child Care in Eagle Grove.
Jennifer liked camping and gardening. She was witty and had a great sense of humor that was laced with a touch of sarcasm. She enjoyed cooking with Eddie. Jennifer loved children, and they loved her right back, and could often be found trying to find ways to visit her in her office at the day care. Jen’s world revolved around the love of her daughter. They were inseparable, from performing arts, swim meets, to state speech competitions, Jen was always so proud of Imani’s accomplishments.
She is survived by her fiancé, Eddie Shufford and daughter Imani Shufford, both of Eagle Grove, her parents, Marcia Schnell of Ft. Dodge and Bill (JoAnn) Schnell of Webster City, sister Valerie Schnell of Ft. Dodge, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins, other relatives and special friends Kay Collicott, Mook and Christi Bascomb of Ames and Shanae Bolding of Annapolis, Md.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wyman and Mary Marquardt and Merlyn and Delma Schnell.
