Glenda Severson

Glenda Severson, 83, of Webster City died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Van Diest Medical Center.  A visitation will be held Friday 5-7 at Boman Funeral Home in Webster City.  Her funeral will be Saturday at 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City.  Washington Lutheran Cemetery south of Duncombe will be the place of burial.

She was born on June 3, 1929 in Fort Dodge, IA to Joseph & Velda (Ruby) Presler.  She graduated from Fort Dodge High School.  She and John Severson were married in Fort Dodge on December 12, 1948.  They lived in the surrounding area and settled in Webster City to raise their family.  She was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Red Hat Society, and the 500 card club at Southfield.  When Glenda & John were raising the kids, they loved to go camping.  She enjoyed eating out, fishing and horses.
Her family includes: daughter Karen (DJ) Anderson, son Jeff (Lezlie) Severson and son James (Terri) Severson all of Webster City; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, son Michael, grandson John Jay and  two sisters Betty Osmandson & Geraldine Traw.
