Dorothy Anderson

Dorothy Anderson, 92, of Webster city, passed away Thursday December 26 at the Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City.   Funeral Services will be Monday, December 30, 11:00 AM at the Kamrar Community Church in Kamrar.  Boman Funeral Home in Webster city is in charge of arrangements.  WWW.Bomanfh.com
She was born to CC and Artie Thompson on April 26, 1921 in Webster City.  Dorothy, attended country schools near Blairsburng and Lehigh then graduated from the Webster City High School in 1939.  She met George the day he returned form service in WWII, the couple was married November 16, 1947.  Dorothy worked as a teller at Farmers State Bank in Stanhope until it closed, then she was the Stanhope City Clerk for 17 years.  Dorothy enjoyed Camping fishing and traveling.  She hosted the Thompson Christmas’ in her home until the family got big enough to rent the community center.
Dorothy’s family includes:  sister in law Carla Thompson of Des Moines, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband George in 2002; brothers: Samuel and Melvin Thompson; sisters: Ina Meiners, Wanda Jeys, Lois Thompson, Viola Chalfant, and Evelyn Thompson.
