Charles Jacobson

Charles Arthur Jacobson, 62, of Webster City, died on Monday, July 29, 2024, at the Van Diest Medical Center, in Webster City. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) in Webster City, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. The burial will be at the Madison Township Cemetery in Forest City, Iowa.

Charles was born on April 10, 1962, in Britt, Iowa, he was the son of Glen and Vera (Lonning) Jacobson. After graduating from Mason City High School in 1980, he pursued a welding certificate from NIACC. His professional path included roles at a gas station in Mason City, Electrolux in Webster City, and most recently, he was employed at 3M in Ames, Iowa.

Charles was baptized at the First Methodist Church in Britt, Iowa, and confirmed at the Wesley Methodist Church in Mason City. As a child, participated in Boy Scouts, where he earned the God and Country Award. He was an active member of Ducks Unlimited. Charles had a passion for hunting, fishing, and tent camping, and was also an excellent cook.

Charles’ family includes: his sisters Jane Love, of Jacksonville, FL and Donna (Mike) Lucas of Cedar Falls, IA; nieces and nephew: Nikki, Kim and Travis (Nataliya); and great nieces: Madison, Ellie, and Lexie. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law Tom Love.
