Carlene Dingman

Carlene Dingman, 74, of Webster City, Iowa, died on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Paula Baber Hospice home in Fort Dodge, in accordance with Carlene’s wishes, no services will be held. The family has entrusted Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) with their arrangements.

 Carlene was born on January 16, 1950, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Carl Gerd and Edna Leone (Tague) Saathoff. She graduated from high school in 1968 and married Michael Dingman on August 4, 1968. Following their marriage, Michael served in the U.S. Navy, and the couple lived in California until 1972 when they moved to Webster City.

 Carlene worked in bookkeeping for several years, first at Webster City Products, then Iowa Stockyards, before returning to Electrolux, where she remained until her retirement in the early 2000s.

 An avid casino enthusiast, Carlene found great joy in gambling and loved the thrill of winning. She also had a deep affection for cats and enjoyed hobbies such as sewing, cooking, and baking. Above all, Carlene treasured spending time with old friends and maintaining those cherished relationships.

Carlene’s family includes her son Chad of Webster City; daughter Staci Johnson of Webster City; sister Linda (Richard) Peterson of Ames, IA; Brother Steve (Karen) Saathoff, of Webster City; five nephews: Scott, Brent, & Jeremy Peterson, Justin and Danielle Saathoff; and several grand nieces and nephews.
