Betty Josephine Campidilli, 84, of Webster City, died on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Southfield Wellness Community. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, March 7, at Boman Funeral Home (www.Bomanfh.com) from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A private Family Burial will be held at a later date at Graceland Cemetery.
Betty was born on September 23, 1933, in Callender, Iowa to John and Katarina (Mikulka) Prokop, Sr. She attended country school at Clay Center #5 and graduated Callender High School. Betty married Donald Campidilli on August 22, 1959, in Moorland, Iowa.
She enjoyed doing word searches, gardening, canning, and painting crafts of all kinds. She was an avid seamstress making tea towels, clothing, and quilting. Betty was well known for her infamous sugar cookie recipe. She also loved animals.
Betty was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Webster City, and the Quilting Club at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She was also part of the 1st State Bank Prestige Club and enjoyed many trips with them.
Her family includes her husband; children: Dan (Gina) Campidilli of Webster City, Sue (Brad) Walters of Webster City; two grandchildren Dane Campidilli and Danika Klaver; three great-grandchildren: Briar, Beckett, and Sam; brother Donald Prokop of Boone. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Joseph Prokop, Anna Spal, John Prokop, Jr, and Mary Prokop.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Woodhouse, the staff at Van Diest Medical Center and the staff at Southfield Wellness Community for the care given to Betty. Memorials may be directed to the family.
