Bessie Trask

Bessie Trask, 70, of Kamrar, died at her home on Saturday, April 22, 2023.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) in Webster City.

Bessie Marie Trask was born on March 15, 1953, in Webster City, Iowa to Glen and Elsie (Benton) Trask.  She was a graduate of Webster City High School.  Bessie worked at Beam Industries for 20 years until the Webster City plant closed, after that she worked at Electrolux, she then attended Iowa Central Community College in Ft Dodge and earned her Associate of Science in Human Services, and received training to care for people with special needs. After that she worked as a caregiver at Imagine in Boone for four years until her retirement in 2018.

Bessie enjoyed taking pictures of nature, sunsets and flowers, hiking Dolliver Park, coffee and visiting with her co-workers from Beam.  She loved her grandkids, they were the apple of her eye, she enjoyed activities with them.

Bessie’s family includes:  daughter Heather (Lonnie) Wheeler and their four children:  Starr, Allison, Brandon, and Connor; siblings:  Lee (DeeAnn) Trask of Lehigh, Glenda Harris of Blairsburg, and Catherine Redling of Webster City; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Margaret Day; brother Fred Trask and granddaughter Crystal.
